Rotorsport & MAZDA recommend the following service schedule for all model year cars and trucks:
7,500 / 22,500 / 37,500 / 52,500 / 67,500 / 82,500 / 97,500 / 112,500 / 127,500 /
142,500 / 157,500 / 172,500 and so on...
- Change engine oil and filter
- Rotate tires
- Set tire pressures
- Check and fill all fluid levels
- Check air filter
- Check plugs, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable)
- Check brakes, report percentage remaining
- Check cooling system
- Minor safety inspection
15,000 / 45,000 / 75,000 / 105,000 / 135,000 / 165,000 / 195,000 and so on...
- Change engine oil and filter
- Replace spark plugs (except Millenia "S" 2.3)
- Replace air filter
- Replace fuel filter (carburated only)
- Replace transmission oil (M/T)
- Replace rear axle oil (RWD, if applicable)
- Fill all fluid levels
- Adjust valves and replace valve cover gasket (if applicable)
- Rotate tires and set pressures
- Set tune-up specs -- adjust timing and idle speed
- Replace distributor cap and rotor (if equipped)
- Check for diagnostic codes (most models '88-'94)
- Check brakes, report percentage remaining
- Check cooling system for external leaks, check drive belts
- Check all lights for operation
- Safety inspection
*Service schedule for platinum plug equipped vehicles is every 60,000 miles.
30,000/60,000/90,000/120,000 / 150,000 / 180,000 and so on...
- Change engine oil and filter
- Replace spark plugs (Millenia "S" 2.3 at 60k service only)
- Replace air filter
- Replace fuel filter at 60,000 & 120,000 etc.
- Replace transmission oil (M/T)
- Replace rear axle oil (RWD, if applicable)
- Replace coolant, check system for leaks
- Replace brake fluid, flush system
- Repack wheel bearings/replace seals (if applicable)
- Adjust valves and replace valve cover gasket (if applicable)
- Rotate tires and set pressures
- Fill all fluid levels
- Set tune-up specs -- adjust timing and idle speed
- Relace distributor cap and rotor (if equipped)
- Check clutch hydraulic system for leaks
- Check for diagnostic codes (most models '88-'94)
- Check brakes, report percent remaining
- Check cooling system for external leaks, check drive belts
- Check all lights for operation
- Safety inspection
*Service schedule for platinum plug equipped vehicles is every 60,000 miles.
NOTE:
Rotorsport and MAZDA recommend changing the timing belt
at 60,000 mile intervals. Our experience has shown these belts
do not last much more than 60,000 miles, even less with oil or
coolant leaks at crankshaft and camshaft seal(s) or waterpump.
This service is NOT inlcuded in the 60k service, however it is
available seperately.
Timing Belt Replacement
- Replace timing belt
- Replace crankshaft seal
- Replace camshaft seal(s)
- Replace valve cover gasket (if applicable)
- Adjust belt tension to specs
- Set timing and idle speed (if applicable)
- Check tensioner and idler pulleys for wear
- Check water pump for leaks
- Check and adjust drive belts
Most MAZDA vehicles, prices vary by model/year. Additional work available
at extra cost. Synthetic oil additional.
